A Kernel of Mail is a monthly mail club created for anyone who wants to feel a little more connected to agriculture, whether you grew up on a farm, have never stepped foot on one, or simply love learning where our food and everyday products come from.

Each month, you’ll receive real mail from our family farm in Michigan. Inside will be a letter sharing what’s happening on the farm, a Farm Fact card with something new to learn about agriculture, a word search featuring agricultural vocabulary, and a 5×7 photo taken right here on our farm.

Some months may bring harvest stories, changing weather, cattle in the pasture, equipment in the field, or one of those ordinary farm moments that turns into a story worth sharing. No two months on a farm are exactly the same, and that’s part of the fun.

A Kernel of Mail is for curious minds of all ages and for anyone who would enjoy opening the mailbox to find something other than bills and advertisements.

A Kernel of Mail is a subscription offered through An Ear Full of Agriculture. Charges for your subscription will appear on your bank or credit card statement as An Ear Full of Agriculture.

How it works

  • •Sign up by the 20th of the month to receive that month’s mailing.
  • •Mailings are sent on the 25th of each month.
  • •To purchase a gift subscription, use the gift/present icon at the top of the page.
  • •Because A Kernel of Mail is sent as regular snail mail, tracking is not included.
  • •If you haven’t received your letter by the 10th of the following month, please reach out to have it resent.
