The Little Post

You know that farmers market feeling? Wandering the stalls, finding whatever just came into season, bumping into a friend and chatting longer than you planned. That's what mail feels like to me. Someone's handwriting shows up at your door and for a minute, you're right there with them. Every month, a little package of mail shows up for you: 2 postcards (5x7) made from that month's fruit stamps, postage already on The Little Prompt, a nudge on who to send them to The Little Joke and The Little Madlib, just for you A letter from me, and the scoop on that month's fruit The Little Extra, a bonus surprise You keep the fun stuff and mail the postcards to 2 people you love! Every month starts with a trip to the farmers market. I pick whatever's in season, bring it home, slice it open, and dip it in ink to use as a stamp. The shapes inside the fruit and veggies turn into the artwork! This October, grape clusters became little bats and slices of acorn squash became pumpkins. I scan every stamp, do a little clean-up, and turn them into your postcards. The Little Post started with my kids. We get holiday cards in the mail every year and get SO excited, and it made me want to send (and get!) more mail. So I made it easy. You just get to enjoy the fun part.
